It gives you so much more confidence going into the game knowing that you are making the right decision.  You may not always win, thats the game… but the chances are greater of winning.  Whatever it takes to learn the odds for blackjack, you have to do it.  Remember the dealer already has an advantage over you which you have to negate and then turn around, so that the advantage lies with you.
