I was playing blackjack online and at one stage I thought there was something wrong with the blackjack site.  I even went as far to log out, leave the blackjack game for a half an hour and then re-join again.  Now its a reputable blackjack site that I recommend to all my friends, so I was real worried that something had gone wrong or else someone was really taking the micky out of me…

Found some good blackjack virtual training on the web.  By the MIT students who made a living by bringing down the house and winning at blackjack.

So how did they do it?  Learning the card counting system to turn the odds to their favor.  They say that you dont have to be a genius but what you need is a system, learn card counting and practice card counting until it comes naturally - its as simple as that.

Nice thing about virtual training online is that you can do it whenever you like, whenever you have the time and are in the mood to master card counting.  You can take a tour of the training site, see what they are proposing so that you can get a feel of what they will teach you before actually signing up.

The answer is “No”.

And anyway what fun is there in doing exactly what the dealer does.  If you play blackjack exactly the same as the house, the house will always win because of the house edge.  A house edge of 5.7% will slowly eat into your chip stack.  The casino ensures that the odds are not in your favor.

You have to outplay the dealer to be able to beat them.  It is no good trying to side with the dealer, when you both go bust, you lose anyway.  Stick to your tried and tested strategy chart and don’t try and get clever!

Well here’s some that work for Monica Reeves… you may call them unfair, but maybe some blackjack players won’t mind at all.  This might work in a blackjack tournament where you want to distract the other players and beat them, but I am not sure the dealers will fall for it, at a normal blackjack table, depends at what kind of casino you play at of course…

This is what is needed to promote online gambling, prominent people speaking out about the merits of poker being legalized. Just think of all those taxes that the government misses out on… Our economy is struggling, government debt is spiraling out of control and our members of Congress are deciding on the morals of online gambling…

We should have more people speaking out on merits of online gambling and how it would boost the economy.

Maybe its time to invest in some online casino shares, because it looks like the pressure is mounting against US legislators, to change the online gambling laws. Perhaps we could see a change soon…

Depends on how many cards the dealer has showing.  Check out some blackjack strategy charts to see what they say you should do.  Anything above 14 or maybe 15 - I stick and see if the dealer can beat me - put the pressure on him or her and see what they do.  I like transferring pressure, why should you have to feel the pressure all the time?

If the dealer has a few cards on the board then maybe I’ll take my chances and hit.  Its only blackjack, not the most difficult casino game…

Despite all the blackjack strategies out there it really comes down to making the right decision in a given situation.  You way up the odds of winning and you act accordingly.  Now the only way to know what to do is by practicing and playing as much blackjack as you can - that way you’ll make the right decision… or at least the best decision that you could.
