Superstition at the Blackjack Table

Ah thank you Daniel for commenting on my blog… now I know at least one person is reading my blog!

To answer your question, I am not really a superstitious person so I don’t really pay too much attention to that sort of thing.  But I know some people are very superstitious about where they play blackjack and what happens during the game… if the dealer does something different… or if someone says something particular at the table… it throws them off their concentration totally and their game of blackjack!

I guess its a personal thing.

Once I did get this really funny feeling that something just didn’t feel right at the table.  I don’t know what it was, maybe it was just me… but I remember feeling uncomfortable the whole time.

I ended up going home early, It was probably just the restless mood that I was in, sometimes I get like that.  Best thing is to leave the casino, because you have to have your mind on the game and be 100% focused.  You cant afford anything distracting you.

I don’t really believe in superstition, but I do believe in listening to your intuition or an inner feeling and if something aint right then make a change or don’t do it.

I used to run a lot in my youth, and as a runner you have to listen to your body, if you are not feeling right then don’t run, your body is trying to tell you something is not right and so you shouldn’t strain it.  Same goes for blackjack or anything in life actually, so now I apply that principle.
